Spencer Mahoney
Director of Baseball Operations
Spencer grew up in LaGrange Park, IL and attended Lyons Township high school. He was an all-state shortstop and a state champion in 2011. After high school he went to Valparaiso University and majored in Education. He left the school as the all-time assists leader in program history.
Once his college career ended, he played a season for the Gary RailCats, an independent baseball team in Indiana as an infielder. In 2016, after spending 4 months at the Driveline facility, an arm care program designed to increase arm strength and velocity, he made his way into the New York Yankees organization as a pitcher.
Spencer joined Phenom in the fall of 2019. With a background in education, Spencer works extremely well with kids. He works to establish a unique relationship with each kid and finds different ways for individualized success.
Spencer played professionally both as a pitcher and a hitter. He is available for both hitting and pitching lessons for all ages.
